Jajum Bajara (BiOC) - GP information

Jajum Bajara is supported by an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander workforce and is based out of culturally-safe and welcoming community-based hubs at Yulu-Burri-Ba Capalaba, Dunwich and Wynnum.

The maternity service encompasses the following elements:

  • continuity of midwifery care with 24/7 access to pregnancy, birthing and postnatal care provided by the same midwife
  • community based care
  • contemporary culture and practice
  • connection to land and county
  • a holistic definition of heath
  • Indigenous and non-Indigenous ways of knowing and learning.
