Deadly Fit Mums

What is Deadly Fit Mums?

Deadly Fit Mums is a free movement program designed for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women who are pregnant and mums with little ones. The program offers a safe space for mums during and after their pregnancies to move, yarn, stretch, breathe and share knowledge, stories and experiences to help them move more and stay strong in their mind and body.

To connect with the Deadly Fit Mums program, ask your family support practitioner for a referral.

What is expected on your first scheduled appointment with Deadly Fit Mums?

You will meet an exercise physiologist, who are often mums themselves, for an initial assessment. She will sit with you and yarn about your pregnancy journey, what is important to you health wise, and understand what you want to achieve by connecting with the program. From there you will be given a tailored program and be welcome to join the DFM group each week.

Session Times

The sessions are run on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. There are both walking groups and functional movement groups.

Check out the BiOC Facebook events page for exact session times and locations.
