Our Workforce

IUIH directly employs over 650 staff with half of our workforce identifying as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander.

Our commitment to Indigenous employment is making a major contribution to improved employment and household income levels for Indigenous people in South East Queensland, and a key social determinant in meeting the interdependent health, education and employment closing the gap targets.

Salary sacrifice

To attract and retain professional staff IUIH provides for a competitive salary and offers salary sacrifice for eligible staff members. Salary sacrifice is an arrangement between the employer and employee where a portion of pre-tax salary is used to provide benefits of similar value including things like cars, computers, and mortgage payments.
