BiOC Bayside Hubs

What is offered at BiOC Jajum Bajara (Bayside) hubs?

BiOC Jajum Bajara is a maternity service designed for Indigenous women and newborns that offers Indigenous families access to:

  • a dedicated midwifery team where a known midwife will birth bub
  • services are within community and support mums who may need to visit the hospital
  • promotes connection to land and country
  • values Indigenous and non-Indigenous ways of knowing and learning.

Jajum Bajara is a collaboration between Yulu-Burri-Ba and Redlands Hospital to provide a holistic, culturally safe service for Indigenous women and their families. Women and their families in Jajum Bajara have the benefits of wrap-around services through the partnership. The focus of Jajum Bajara is providing women with choices about the care they and their families receive.

How can community connect with BiOC Jajum Bajara?

To access this program, you don’t have to be a Yulu-Burri-Ba patient. We ask you to see our deadly GP’s for a referral to the program.
