Youth Services

Support for young Mob

We support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people aged 10-25 living in South East Queensland by connecting them to services and programs such as Mob Link, POWA, Deadly Choices, Paediatrics, Social Health, NDIS, BIOC, Child Safety, Youth Justice, Mental Health, Dental, and Allied Health.

We have Youth Care Coordinators with Mob Link, ATSICHS Brisbane, Yulu-Burri-Ba, MATSICHS, Kalwun, and the Pamela Mam Health Centre. These coordinators provide case management and support to ensure comprehensive and culturally appropriate care.

We walk alongside our young people by assisting them with:

  • Health – access to medical, dental and allied health services
  • Housing – support in finding safe and stable housing
  • Employment – assistance with job search, resume building, health and community work training opportunities, and connecting with potential employers
  • Education – support in accessing educational opportunities, including tutoring and scholarships
  • Child Safety Advocacy – providing advocacy and support for young people involved with child safety services, or those under Dual Orders
  • Transition from Youth Detention Centres – assisting young people in transitioning from youth detention centres back into the community, ensuring they have access to necessary resources and support systems
  • Mental Health – access to culturally appropriate mental health services, including counselling and therapy
  • Drug and Alcohol Supports – providing support and resources for young people dealing with substance use issues, including counselling and rehabilitation services
