FluMist stocks expiring 7 August

We encourage families with jarjum 2-17 years old to access free FluMist vaccinations before current stocks expire on Friday 7 August. Check with your local clinic about availability, as stocks may run out before then.

We are a pleased with our Community’s take-up of FluMist this flu season. All remaining Queensland FluMist has an expiry of Friday, 7 August and we will discard any remaining stock after that date.

FluMist is a needle-free nasal spray influenza vaccine delivered that has been a popular option for many families and jarjum.

We encourage Mob with jarjum 2-17 years who have been considering FluMist to phone their clinic as soon as possible to avoid missing out before stocks expire.

Protecting yourself, your family and Community from influenza remains important throughout the flu season. If FluMist is no longer available, speak with your healthcare provider about the flu shot (needle). The flu shot is just as effective as FluMist and has been well-tolerated by jarjum in previous flu seasons. It’s still not too late to vaccinate!
