Formal qualifications in Community Development, Management, and Indigenous Governance and was the 2021 Impact 25 Award winner with Pro Bono Australia in recognition of her contributions to social change. She is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (MAICD).

Committed executive, mentor, facilitator, connector and community development practitioner working to support self-determination and assert the rights of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people through empowered cultural governance, leadership and practices.

Chartered Company Secretary and Fellow of the Governance Institute of Australia. Charmaine has held corporate governance positions with several Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services and a large disability charity. She has a law degree and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Corporate Governance.
