The Institute for Urban Indigenous Health (IUIH) is a leading, regional not-for-profit provider of health and wellbeing services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in South East Queensland. IUIH was established in 2009, and is the regional backbone of a number for a network of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community Controlled Health Organisations delivering health, social and wellbeing services across South East Queensland.

Across our network, our model of care provides holistic health and wellbeing services to support our Community across their lifespan. We bring together primary care, allied health, dental, mental health and wellbeing, maternity and early childhood, disability services, specialist services, and aged care as one team focused on clients’ individual needs and goals.

From patient transport drivers and community liaison officers to GPs and allied health professionals, we are an integrated team working together to improve the health and wellbeing of our Community.

Salary and benefits

We offer rewarding work, and a variety of flexible full-time and part-time roles supporting great work-life balance. Our salary packages include a range of entitlements, with additional financial and lifestyle benefits you don’t find in many GP practices.

Our GP salary package includes:

  • annual salary up to $340,000.00 AUD
  • 4 weeks of annual leave per year (including 17.5% leave loading)
  • 10 days personal leave per year
  • 11.5% super.

Our GPs also have access to additional benefits:

  • not for profit salary packaging to increase your take-home pay
  • fully reimbursed medical indemnity insurance.
